I would just like to point out that, while I don't object to the company that "emp" put me in, if the survey were made up of all me, it would be 0. I do not strongly object to Obama. I DO strongly object to many of his "true believer" followers & supporters who seem to think that the man is the second coming or something and that the election was some kind of good versus evil battle. I can't strongly object to him because he hasn't DONE anything yet. He's not yet in a position to do anything. I sincerely hope, for the sake of the country, that he does well. However, he is a man which means he's fallible. He's a politician, which means he uses empty promises, lies and half truths to get what he wants (elected) and he has to deal with a whole bunch of other politicians doing the same thing or the same reason. He has my sincere best wishes. However, I refuse to buy in to the Obama as Savior crap that is spewed by so many of his ardent followers. Thanks. Just had to get that off my chest.

Only five working days into his first term and the nay-sayers are busy making negative comments. He has already shown more leadership and decisiveness than we have seen in eight years of the previous administration. As of today, President Obama has met TWICE with Republican members of Congress, which is the same number of times Bush met with Democratic members of Congress in his entire eight years in office. Recognize how much Obama is reaching out to be inclusive. After the last years of "our way or no way" behavior by the GOP, they still do not realize that they did not win the election and that the Democrats get to write the legislation now, a fact that McCain and Boehner do not like. At least they have been consulted which is more than Bush did for the Dems.

We are SO totally screwed. "Change" was the mantra of the leftists and now that they're in control all we see is a bunch of Klintonista retreads. Get ready, if you enjoy your treatment by the bureaucrats at the DMV and the Post Office, you're gonna LOVE what they do with healthcare and your 401K!!!

I don’t see that he will bring a good change, only that the Democrat party will be in control of this country to pass whatever they please. Have more pork barrel spending with no one to stop them. Oh, and that will happen, and be the only change that we see. Change is not having the same political people in office (Clinton Admin) change is having new people with new ideas. To grow and go forward for the future and not repeat or bring back the pass.
Obama will send this country into Bankruptcy as he will just keep printing money. His agenda is not to have us rise up after we fail, and do better for ourselves, but to keep us down and in debt to the government forever. By STIMULUS after STIMULUS after STIMULUS that does not work. Because we have people in office that run our country and don’t have a clue as to what they are doing. With all his know it all people that surrounds him, the only answers they have is spend more money. The economy got this way in the first place from the failing housing market, an

How can we truely expect a high rating for someone already so deeply involved in scandels. He hasn't even seen fit to prove that he is not an illegial alien. It would be so easy to produce birth certificate (if he is legal) so why does he have three TEAMS of lawers trying to keep this info from us. Some change!

Socialism is public ownership of infrastructure and industry. Capitalism couldn't survive with some elements of socialism. Public highways, Public Parks,Fire Departments, Police Departments, City Hall, The Airway system, the Military, Public Schools, etc. are all examples of Socialistic Enterprises. The fact should be obvious to any literate person that the world is interdependent, and no one can survive on his own, (except for a few talented survivalists living off the land) In a pure unfettered, unregulated capitalist system there would eventually be only one winner, just as in monopoly. Democracy would be impossible.

Spending money we don't have? Obama's would expand spending would increase government spending (pre-bailouts) by $343.6 billion (National Taxpayers Union, http://www.ntu.org/main/press.php?PressID=1022&org_name=NTUF). He doesn't propose any tax solutions except to repeal the Bush tax cuts, which have actually increased revenue (the Wall Street Journal, the Heritage Foundation). Regulating Wall Street would not have prevented this meltdown. The root of this problem was the housing market. The government (through regulation) and social activist groups pressured banks to give out loans they had no business giving out. The economy then drops from a boom to equilibrium levels and those living beyond their means could no longer pay back the loans. The result: foreclosure. All of the holders of mortgage-backed securities lost tons of money. Regulation would not have prevented this. Obama has also proposed nationalized health care like they have in Western Europe. It doesn't matter that nationalized he

President-elect Obama didn't promise to change the way that President's fill out their cabinet positions and administration, he promised to change government policies the way that people want us to do. Get out of Iraq and stop meddling and invading defenseless countries, stop spending money we don't have, do something real about health care, really regulate Wall Street and strengthen the economy -- that's what he promised to do and what he promised to change.

Regarding the confusion about the range being 50 to -50, instead of 100 to -100, the answer is that they are asking you not to predict the percent of people who approve, but rather the difference between that number and 50. Therefore, if 100% of people approve that means that his Approval index is 50 because it is 50 more than 50%. If only 49% of people approve then his Approval index is -1, and so on.

Obama, unlike the current White House occupant, appears to take an interest in the events of the world. I picture Jr. (like Pappy in the '92 debate) looking at his wristwatch often, marking time until his insufferable term is over.

When the going gets tough just keep going because it never rains always and if it seems the sun is shining somewhere just as it's five o'clock somewhere rules and boundaries are necessary and keep animals aka humans somewhat in line but it is innovation and mistakes that has given us our greatest inventions and took us as a people from the box into 3d dimensions a team of rivals is what gave us all a chance this is our future its sad that we have to go to the past to get a glance we are that future no matter your age cause not any of us was here when that past was present; GIVE IT A CHANCE, ENHANCE, FREELANCE but with values that are tried and true SUPPORT OBAMA and his administration, don't live just for you think the blood shed that gave you, through debates, civil and revolutionary wars, not some worthy and a few worthy causes but without mistakes we cannot know the STARTING point for success, but whenever that ordeal, you are already in a mess, give it time cause that heals all, all of us will not be here

Poor ol' self-and-own-culture-loathing Mombasa-born mobbed-up Marxist murtadd Muslim Arab-African/Indonesian empty galabia, B Hussein bin B Hussayn bin Hussayn Muhummad Ubama, has never had a job, been responsible for a profit and/or for any of the consequences of his actions -- and has never met a payroll.
And it shows: "His" cabinet picks of second through fifth rate tired old political hacks, most of them as dumb as he is and as representative of "change" as are his twin patron saints, Comrade Marx and Herr Hitler, are the projection of his razor-thin résumé. Never having been employed in an executive role, Hussein has never inspired loyalty, lead, instructed, employed and/or delegated and thus doesn't know anyone he might be able to trust. And so his every "pick" is but a re-cycled failed has-been from a former administration -- or from none.
Hussein's, despite it will wreak perhaps irreversible damage on our nation and on the very Judeo-Chri

Is this the change he promised. No more Washington politics he said. I guess bringing back the Clinton administration is the ' new Washington" politics. Just another hack politician promising one thing to get elected and then doing what he had planned to do all along. The tax rise will happen Jan 2010 when the Bush cuts expire. He still is in the center but as he moves left, and he will, the ratings will go down . All those people who thought he would pay their mortgages and taxes will be without jobs as soon as he rasies corp taxes. The worst is yet to come

Not much is going to happen up to Inauguration. He is still talking and not much else, except that people seem to like that he is putting the Clinton Admninistration back into place. If this keeps up, he will have to start putting "I love the Clintons" stickers and patches on his suits and vehicles.
